In, out, in, out - we have decided to turn our very large drive into a joint entrance and exit which will make the traffic flow a lot smoother. Please make sure you check the Park map on the Home page to get your bearings. Together with the formation of a third car park we will be able to say good-bye to the overflow car area which had become a permanent feature!
Work is now nearing completion ready for the issue of 2008 season tickets. In February the first batch will be offered to current holders. We are all a little nervous, with at least a dozen emails or calls a week, I think it is going to be very busy!
Work begun for 2008 in October 2007! Ideas laid out, scheduling, buying and ordering! Advertising, consolidating, printing..... the list goes on and on, and it doesn’t matter how organised you are, there is always something to do!
What a wet 2007! Thank goodness for regular customers! Our numbers still increased but it was definitely hard work behind the scenes.
The good news is..........we must be due for a great 2008!
Further 33% OAP price reduction and new "Add a grand-parent" subsidised season ticket ! We have reduced our OAP price to ensure that we have added value for extended families. We are primarily a family attraction and greatly enjoy seeing children, mums and dads, and grandparents, spend the day with us. We know that often the grand-parents like to relax and don’t spend as much time using the facilities as the rest of the family so we have dropped our price to reflect that! Season tickets now sold out!
New road to enter the farm! Planning have asked us to put a new road in which is to be up and running by July 2007. This will run parallel to La Verte Rue but go through our own land. Whilst expensive it will give us a nice frontage and allow everyone to enter the premises directly off the main road. This new entrance will also incorporate a pedestrian access which will allow people to come into the site directly from the bus stop.
New shop and offices - Planning was granted in January but unfortunately this is too late to be up and running by April. We still have to draw up and get through building control and we have to re-submit the original plans with further excavation details, so even we can’t perform miracles! However, we are hoping to temporarily re-locate the office into aMaizin! Craft for all your enquiries. My children will be delighted to have more "mummy" time!
Adventure Park doubles in size! January saw the permission granted to extend our park. This means that for us it will be a difficult year as things need moving, grass needs growing and new activities need adding. Keep your fingers crossed for a dry Spring! It is likely that the extension will be brought online in sections during the beginning of the season with full access available for July.
More season tickets will now be available for 2007 although we know demand is high and expect to sell out early in the season. Great for our customers as they represent excellent value. We know a lot of people were disappointed last year and as shocked as us when the season tickets sold out on the first day, but with hindsight the decision to limit the tickets on the grounds of safety was a good one. Sorry to everyone who was disappointed!
First log cabins granted permission in Jersey! Fantastic news . We have another great idea going to Planning shortly and building of the cabins depends on permission for our next plan as even we can’t do both simultaneously!
