About Jersey
Why not get off the beaten track?
We often get asked about Jersey by our visitors. They ask about family friendly hotels, other places to visit and often have transport enquiries.
This page gives our opinion based on the feedback from our customers, and our knowledge of the island.
Staying in Jersey
Family friendly - Merton Hotel - they have a new flowrider for 2008, my staff are hoping for a sneaky go so I will let you know what it’s like!
There is some lovely self catering accommodation in Jersey - take a look at Freedom Holidays
Family friendly campsite - Rozel Farm - run by a local company, great service and great facilities
Out and about
We work closely with Jersey Heritage Trust and they have some lovely attractions for you to visit.
Hamptonne is great and my children enjoy it there - quirky and quaint!
Elizabeth Castle is great for the Dukw (amphibious vehicle) ride, but the children won’t stay too long at the castle.
Maritime Museum is great for rainy days.
Something a little different
General information of monthly events can be obtained from Jersey Tourism
If you’d like a better taste of the real Jersey then why not attend one of the National Trust events?
Fancy something a little more cultural? Check out Jersey Art Centre and Jersey Opera House for events, exhibitions and show!
Transport
Why not leave the car at home and hire a bike? If you would like to cycle round the island find information on our "green lane" system!
Do you want to leave the car at home, but would rather take the bus? We have ample parking for cars and bikes, and the bus stops at the entrance to the farm. See our map!
and great bays to see!
Favourite Bays - St Ouens Bay is stunning...but dangerous - watch the tides! Greve De Lecq is a gem... but don’t go on the beach with an icecream, the seagulls are lethal! St Brelades Bay is also lovely but very busy in the Summer.
We have some photos of the bays mentioned - look in our gallery!
Eating out
We don’t get a chance to eat out a lot but love Big Verns and Watersplash for family meals, Cheffins and Salty Dog for something more upmarket!
Anything else?

I hope you are looking carefully! I love this picture. Taken from a space satellite it shows the coast of France and the Channel Islands. Makes you realise just how close to France we are!
I hope I have added some items of interest, please let me know if there is anything I’ve missed!
